Teachers RUL is more than a program—it’s a movement dedicated to nurturing the social-emotional well-being of students, particularly those facing adversity or carrying high Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Launched at Perkins K-8 in San Diego, Teachers RUL blends Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with literacy support to help children not only excel academically, but also grow emotionally, build resilience, and discover their inner strength.

About the Program

Teachers RUL is an in-school support program designed for students—especially those with high ACE scores—who need safe, compassionate spaces to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Delivered by caring educators who act as mentors, literacy guides, and emotional anchors, the program helps students feel seen, supported, and capable of success in and beyond the classroom.
